Every 1st century “New Testament” writer referred to what we now call, “The Old Testament,” as “The Word of God.” These were “The Scriptures” the Berean’s searched to see if what they were hearing about the Messiah was true. “Jesus said to them, “These are the words I spoke to you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about Me in the Law (Torah) of Moses the Prophets, and the Psalms. Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures,”Luke 24:44, 45, Hebrews 10:17; Psalm 40:7,8.

Messiah uses figurative speech, likening Himself to The Bridegroom, betrothed to His faithful Bride (those in covenant with YHVH). The Bride keeps herself pure (walking in the way of life) while she awaits the return of her Bridegroom.
Messiah has gone to his Father’s dwelling to prepare a place for His Bride, when He returns He will take His Bride (Spiritual Israel) to dwell with His Father in His Spiritual Kingdom. See the book of Hosea for an analogy.
Physical Israel’s unfaithfulness resulted in a broken covenant with YHVH. When she made covenants with other nations…her husband YHVH is not allowed to take her back, Deuteronomy 24:4; Jeremiah 3:1; John 14:3; John 14:28; John 17:24.
Messiah did not come to cut another physical covenant with His Bride, (like the one made at Mt. Sinai) that would be considered detestable according to His Torah. He cut a New/Renewed Spiritual Covenant with a Spiritual Bride. Neither His Bride nor His Kingdom are of this earth, John 18:36.
Messiah Is Wisdom, Righteousness, Torah, the Tree of Life, The Gate, The Living Water, The Bread of Life, The Good Shepherd, The Lamb who takes away the sins of the world, Our Creator YHVH Is Salvation.
