Resurrection Day is First-fruits
What is the meaning of First-fruit?
The Bible teaches us that the First-fruits represent the First of our produce that we offer to our Creator to ensure the rest of the harvest will be blessed: Leviticus 23:10; Proverbs 3:9; Romans 11:16.
First-fruits was changed to Resurrection Day just as our Creator’s Appointed Times of Passover/Unleavened Bread were changed to Communion and Easter.
“and he shall wave the sheaf before
the LORD, YHVH so that you may be accepted. On the day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it,” Leviticus 23:11 ESV.
This brings a whole new meaning to the song I grew up singing every Sunday morning while we put our tithes in the offering: https://youtu.be/ad54bH-nQTM
Our Creator set His Appointed Times from Creation, and First-fruits reveals Jesus, the prophesied “Messiah.” The First-fruit Sheaves pointed to Him. He rose from the grave as First-fruits for the Barley Harvest, which begins the 49 day count to the First-fruits of the Wheat Harvest.
When we understand our Creator’s meaning of First-fruits we can also understand what it means that He is the First-born from the dead.
and from Jesus Christ/Messiah, the faithful witness, the Firstborn of the dead, and the Ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and washed us from our sins by his blood; Revelation 1:5
“Also I will make him my Firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth,” Psalm 89:27
Paul Said Nothing Beyond Torah and the Prophets
I (Paul) am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen: 23 that the Messiah would suffer, and as the first to rise from the dead, would proclaim Light to our people and to the Gentiles/Nations.” Acts 26:22 ESV
From the first mysterious promise of the woman’s “Seed,” Genesis 3:15 ESV, to the “Seed” Who would “Bless All Families/Nations,” Genesis 12:3; Galatians 3:8 ESV…our Creator has revealed His Anointed, “Messiah,” “Eternal King,” “First-born from the Dead.”
According to the Scriptures
“Messiah died for our sins according to the Scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15:3 ESV
“He was buried and He raised the third day, according to Scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15:4 ESV
“The Scriptures” Paul was referring to in 60 A.D. were the Torah, Prophets and Writings. We have wrongly translated them as the “Old Testament.” They are called Perfect, Complete, Spiritual and Living Scriptures and every “New Testament” writer referred to them as “The Word of God,” Hebrews 4:12 ESV; Acts 7:38; Ephesians 6:17; Romans 7:14; 1 Peter 1:23; John 17:17…
Our Creator has given mankind a gauge defining Truth from Deception. Without His Torah we would have no way to recognize the difference between a True or False prophet. He has shown us how to know and He tests our faithfulness.
“If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or wonder that he tells you comes to pass, and if he says, ‘Let us go after other gods,’ which you have not known, ‘and let us serve them,’ you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams. For
the LORD YHVH your God is testing you, to know whether you love the LORD YHVH your God with all your heart and with all your soul.” Deuteronomy 13:1-3
The Way of Life and Death have been defined, as clearly as Light and Darkness. Torah points us in the Way of Good and makes sure we know what is Bad.
A true prophets words must match up to Torah and the one who adds or subtracts from our Creator’s Words will be proved a liar.
Messiah as the First-fruits for All Mankind Matches Torah
“And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He explained to them what was written in all the Scriptures about Himself.” Luke 24:27
Continuing with Paul’s letter to the Corinthians, 1 Corinthians 15:6, he proves to those who do not believe in the resurrection that the risen Messiah appeared to over 500 witnesses.
“for as in Adam All die, so also All shall be made alive in Messiah.” “Each in his own order, Messiah our First-fruits, then those in Messiah at His coming.” 1 Corinthians 15:22 ESV
How will it be When We Raise From the dead?
“What is sown is perishable; it is raised imperishable. 43 It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.” 1 Corinthians 15:42 ESV
In Adam All die, In Messiah All will Live!
There’s Only One Sovereign King Who is Victorious Over Death!
The promised Messiah has come and has redeemed mankind from Torah’s Curse of Sin and Death by becoming the Curse, as it is written, anyone hung on a tree is are under God’s curse, Galatians 3:13;Deuteronomy 21:23.
Our Creator’s Salvation Reigns!
