Torah Is The Way of Truth and Life
The prophet Jeremiah spoke the LORD’s (יְהוָֹה YHVH #3068) words. Torah is described as the Ancient/Everlasting (עוֹלָם Olam #5769) Path (נָתִיב Nathiyb #5419) and the Good (טוֹב Tov #2896) Way (דֶּרֶךְ Darek #1870).
Walk in Torah and Find Rest for Your Souls
Jesus said walking “Yoked” to Him we would find rest for our souls.
Whoever claims to abide in Him must walk as Jesus walked. 1 John 2:6
Click Here to see the spiritual meaning of being physically “Yoked.”
John also tells us the Word (Torah) became flesh and dwelt among us, John 1:14
Jesus’ name (attribute) is The Word (Torah) of God, Revelation 19:13.
Both Jesus and Torah Are Truth
“Sanctify them by the Truth; Your Word is Truth.” John 17:17
“And ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free.” John 8:32
“Your Word Is the essence of Truth, and all Your Righteous Judgments Endure, (Olam #5769).” Psalm 119:160
“He that says, I know Him, and does not keep His commandments is a liar, and the Truth is not in him.” 1 John 2:4
“If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not do the Truth: 1 John 1:6
Both Torah and Jesus Are Light and Life
“To the law (Torah #8451) and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this Word, they have no Light of Dawn, (Shachar #7837).” Isaiah 8:20
Jesus said, “I Am the Light of the world whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the Light of Life” John 8:12
“In Him was Life, and that Life was the Light of men.” John 1:4
“You are the Light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14
“We also have the message of the prophets, which has been confirmed beyond doubt. And you will do well to pay attention to this message, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.” 2 Peter 1:19
“The Path of the Righteous is like the first gleam of Dawn, shining brighter and brighter until midday.” Proverbs 4:18
“For God, who said, “Let Light shine out of darkness,” made His Light shine in our hearts to give us the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6
“And God said, “Let there be Light,” and there was Light. And seeing that the Light was Good, God separated the Light from the darkness.” Genesis 1:3
Both Jesus and Torah Are Perfect
The Hebrew word translated as Perfect/Complete/Unblemished/Blameless, is תָּמִים Tamim, Strong’s #8549:
As for God, His Way is Perfect (תָּמִים Tamim #8549); the word of the LORD (יְהוָֹה YHVH #3068) is Flawless, (צָרַף Tzaraph #6884) He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him, Psalm 18:30
The law (תּוֹרָה Torah #8451) of the LORD (יְהוָֹה YHVH #3068) is Perfect, (תָּמִים Tamim #8549) reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD (יְהוָֹה YHVH #3068) is Trustworthy, making wise the simple, Psalm 19:7
Every word of God is Pure (צָרַף Tzaraph #6884); He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him, Proverbs 30:5
But the one who looks intently into the Perfect law (Torah) of Freedom, and continues to do so— not being a forgetful hearer, but an effective doer— he will be blessed in what he does, James 1:25
Both Jesus and Torah Are Righteousness
And if we are careful to observe every one of these commandments before the LORD (YHVH) our God just as He has commanded us, then that will be our Righteousness, Deuteronomy 6:25
There is Life in the Path of Righteousness, but another path leads to death, Proverbs 12:28
Surely they will say of Me, ‘In the LORD (YHVH) alone are Righteousness and Strength. All who rage against Him will come to Him and be put to shame, Isaiah 45:24
In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely. And this is His name by which He will be called: The LORD (YHVH) Our Righteousness, Jeremiah 23:6
And this Righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no distinction, Romans 3:22
It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God: our Righteousness, holiness, and redemption, 1 Corinthians 1:30
…so that the Righteous standard of the Law (Torah) might be fulfilled in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit, Romans 8:4
Torah Is, Was and always will Be the Path of Righteousness and the only Way to Life.
Torah has existed from the beginning, even before it was given to Moses at Mt. Siani. ( https://www.betemunah.org/b4sinai.html)
Adam and Eve were given Torah, instructions defining the Way of Life and Death.
“but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; for in the day that you eat of it, you will surely die.” Genesis 2:17
Like Adam and Eve, we are also tested, and we also have our Creator’s instructions (Torah) defining the way of life and death. We are also to test the words of others by the standard of our creator’s Torah: Genesis 22:1; Deuteronomy 8:2; Psalm 11:5; Revelation 2:2.
The Way of Life Is Not Too Difficult For You
“For this commandment I give you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. It is not in heaven, that you would need to ask, “Who will ascend into heaven to get it for us and proclaim it, that we may obey it?” Deuteronomy 30:11; 12
What’s Torah’s Greatest Commandment?
“‘Love the Lord (YHVH) your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:38
The Way, Truth and Life still stands! Revealing the Spiritual, by the physical patterns shown to Moses, of mankind’s renewed Spiritual Life. Jesus Is the promised, prophesied, Anointed/Messiah, the King of Righteousness and King of kings. He Is the reason the world has Hope in Abraham’s promised inheritance, in His Kingdom, on the renewed heaven and earth.
In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence of the Law (Torah) and the prophets, Matthew 7:12
God’s Word Is Everlasting
Forever, (L’Olam #5769) O YHVH, Your Word is set in heaven, Psalm 119:89
Of old I have known from Your testimonies That You have founded them Forever, (L’Olam). Psalm 119:152
The sum of Your Word is Truth, And every one of Your Righteous ordinances is Everlasting,(L’Olam). Psalm 119:160
The grass withers, the flower fades, But the Word of our God stands Forever, (L’Olam), Isaiah 40:8
…but the Word of YHVH stands Forever, (L’Olam), And this is the Word that was proclaimed to you. 1 Peter 1:25
Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Words will never pass away, (Greek-parerchomai #3928 from the Hebrew L’Olam), Matthew 24:35
We know that the Torah is Spiritual, (Greek-Pneumatikos #4152), Romans 7:14
Yehoshua (YHVH’s Salvation) Is Torah
The Torah and Prophets are The Living, Active, Word of God.
“For the Word of God is Living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12
Do Not Add to, or Take Away
You must not Add to or Take Away from what I command you, so that you may keep the commandments of the LORD (יְהוָֹה YHVH #3068) your God I am giving you, Deuteronomy 4:2
See that you do everything I command you; do not add to it or subtract from it, Deuteronomy 12:32
Knowing Torah makes it easy to spot a false Prophet. The one who adds and takes away from YHVH’s instructions will be proved a liar, Proverbs 30:6.
When we view everything through Torah, like the Berean’s in Acts 17:11, it makes it possible to distinguish man’s lies from the Truth of our Creator.
Jesus did not ADD any heavy burdens to Torah and we can be sure He would never ABOLISH it on the cross. He revealed what the Scriptures said about Him and cleared up misunderstandings, like that one:
“And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He explained to them what was written in all the Scriptures about Himself.” Luke 24:27
“You pore over the Scriptures because you presume that by them you possess Eternal Life. These are the very words that testify about Me,“ John 5:39
“Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look at the earth below; for the heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment, and its people will die like gnats. But My Salvation, (Yeshua #3444) will endure Forever, (Olam) and My Righteousness, (Tzedakah #6666) will Not be Abolished.” (Chatath #2865). Isaiah 51:6; Matthew 24:35
In summary, The Creator and His Word (תּוֹרָה Torah #8451) are One (אֶחָד Echad #259).
Both are Spirit (רוּחַ RuaCH #7307) and Truth (אֶמֶת Emeth #571).
Both are Righteous/Rightness, (צֶדֶק Tzeddeq #6664) and Everlasting (עוֹלָם Olam #5769).
Our Creator’s Word (תּוֹרָה Torah #8451) became flesh to fulfill His Righteous (צֶדֶק Tzeddeq #6664) requirements in order for mankind to return to Spiritual (רוּחַ RuaCH #7307) Life (חַי CHai #2416).
