6. to Understand, (Bin #995) a proverb/parable, (mashal #4912) and its imitation, (melitzah #4426 from litz) the words, (dabar #1697) of the Wise, (Chakam #2450) and their riddles/dark sayings, (Chidah #2420).
7. Reverential fear, (Yirah #3374 from Yare) of YHVH (The Living One #3068) is the head, (reshith #7225) of Knowledge, (Daath #1847) but fools, (evil #191) despise, (buz #936) Correction, (Musar #4148)..
8. Hear and Obey, (Shama #8085) my child, (ben #1121) your father’s Correction, (Musar #4148), do not forsake your mother’s Torah, (Teaching).
9. For they are Favor, (Chen #2580), to your head, (rosh #7218) and a necklace, (anaq #6060) around your neck, (gargeroth #1621).
10. My child, (ben #1121) if offenders, (chatta #2400) entice you, (pathah #6601) do not, (al #408) yield/consent, (abah #14).
11. If, (Im #518) they say, (amar #559) “come, (halak #1980) with us, (ayth #854) let us lay in wait/ambush, (arab #693) for blood, (dam #1818). Let us store up/hide away, (tzaphan #6845) for the blameless/innocent, (naqi #5355), without cause, (chinnam #2600),
12. let us swallow them up, (bala #1104) like the grave, (sheol #7585), alive, (chay #2416) and whole, (tamim #8549 from tamam), bringing them down, (yarad #3381) to the pit, (bowr #953),
13. we will find, (matzah #4672) all, (kol #3605) valuable/precious, (yaqar #3368) wealth, (hon #1952). We will fill, (malae #4390) our houses, (bayith #1004) with plunder, (shalal #7998).
14. Cast down your, (naphal#5307) lot, (goral #1486) among us, (tavek #8432) we all, (kol #3605) have one, (echad #259) purse, (kees #3599).”
15. My child, (ben #1121) do not, (al #408) walk, (halak #1980) within them, (ayth #854). Hold back, (mana #4513) your foot, (regel #7272) from their path, (nathiyb #5410).
16. Their feet run to do bad, (ra #7451), they hurry to shed blood.
17. Surly in vain, (chinnam #2600) a net is spread in the sight of all, (kol #3605) birds/ owners, (baal #1167).
18. They ambush for their own blood. They lurk secretly for their own souls.
19. So are the ways of all who are greedy for gain, it takes away the soul, of its owner, (baal #1167).
20. Wisdom, (Chokmoth #2454) calls joyfully, (ranan #7442) in the street. She utters her bleating, (qol #6963) in the town square, ( rechob #73398)
21. At the head/the beginning of the roar, (hamah #1993) she calls, (qara #7121). At the opening, (pethach #6607) of the gates, (shaar #8179) she utters, (amar #559) words, (emer #561):
22. “How long, you naive, will you love being simple minded? How long will scoffers covet scoffing, and fools hate/turn from Knowledge?
23. Return, (shub #7725) at my Reproof, (Tokachath #8433b). Behold, I will pour out my Spirit on you. I will make you to Know, (Yada #3045) My Words.
24. Because I called, (qara #7121) and you have refused; I stretched out my hand and not one, (ayin #369) listened, (qashab #7121);
25. And you neglect all my Counsel, (Etzah #6098 from Yaatz) unwilling of my reproof, (tokachath #8433b from yakach);
26. I also, (gam 1571) will laugh, (sachaq #7832) at your calamity, (ed #343 same as ud) I will mock, (laag #3932) when your dread, (pachad #6343) comes, (bo #935);
27. When dread, (pachad #6343) comes, (bo #935) like a storm, (shaavah #7584); when calamity, (ed #343) like the sea, (cuwphah #5492) and adversity, (tzarah #6869) and anguish, (tzoq #6695) over (al #5921) come, (athah #857),
28. then they will call on me, but I will not answer. They will seek, (shachar #7836) Me, but they will not find Me;
29, because they hated/turned away from, (sane #8130), Knowledge, (Daath #1847 from Yada) and did not choose, (bachar #977) to revere/fear (yirah #3374) YHVH.
30. Not, (lo #3808) willing, (abah #14) of my council, (etzah #6098). They spurned, (naatz #5006) all, (kol #3605) my reproof, (tokachath #8433b).
31. So they will eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own counsels, (moetsah #4156 from yaatz).
32. For the turning away (meshubah #4878)) of the simple, (pthiy #6612) will kill them, (harag #2026) and the ease/complacency/prosperity, (shalvah #7962) of the fool, (kesil #3684) will destroy, (abad #6).
33. But whoever Hears and Obeys, (Shama #8085) Me will dwell, (shakan #7931) securely, (betach #983) and have rest, (shaan #7599) from the dread, (pachad #6343) of bad/adversity, (raah #7463a from roa).
