Proverbs Chapter 5

1. My son/child, (Ben #1121) listen, (qashab #7181) to My Wisdom, (Chokmah #2451) incline (natah #5186) your ear, (ozen #241) to My Wise Understanding, (Tebunah #8394 from Bin).
2. That you may Guard, (Shamar #8104) Discretion, (Mezimmah #4209 from Zamam) and your lips, (saphah #8193) observe, (natzar #5341) Knowledge, (Daath #1847 from Yada).
3. For the lips, (saphah #8193) of a strange woman, (zuwr #2114) drip, (nataph #5197) like honey, (nopheth #5317) flattering, (chalaq #2509) from her palete, (chek #2441) is smoother than oil, (oil #8081),
4. but in the end, (acharith #319) her mouth, (peh #6310) is as bitter, (marah #4751) as wormwood, (laanah #3939) and as sharp, (chad #2299) as a double edged sword, (chereb #2719).

9. or, (pen #6435) you will give, (nathan #5414) your honor, (hod #1935) to another, (acher #312) and your years, (shanah #8141) to the cruel, (akzari #394),
10. or, (pen #6435) a stranger, (zuwr #2114) be filled/satisfied, (saba #7646) with your strength, (koach #3581) and your toil/idol, (etzeb #6089) the house of a foreigner, (nokri #5237),
11. and you mourn, (naham #5098) in the end, (acharith #319) when your flesh, (basar #1320) is finished, (kalah #3615),
12. and you say, (amar #559) “How I hated/turned against, (sane #8130) Instruction, (Musar #4148) and my heart, (leb #3820) spurned, (naatz #5006) Reproof, (Towkechah #8433),
13. and have not, (lo #3808) Heard and Obeyed (Shama #8085) the voice, (qol #6963) of my Teacher/archery term, (Yarah #3384) nor, (lo #3808) stretched, (natah #5186) my ear, (ozen #241) to learn, (lamad #3925).

17. Let them become yours, (hayah #1961) only, (bad #905) nothing (ahyin #369) with (eth #854) strangers, (zoor #2114).
18. Let be, (Hayah #1961) your fountain, (maqor #4726) blessed, (barak #1288).  Rejoice, (Samach #8055) with the wife, (ishshah #802) of your youth, (na’ur #5271).
19. Like the loving, (ahab #158) hind, (ayaleth #365) and graceful, (chen #2580 from chanan) doe, (ya’alah #3280 from yael) let her bosom, (dad #1717) satisfy, (ravah #7301) you at all, (kol #3605) times, (a’eth #6256) and be enraptured, (shagah #7686) with her love, (ahabah #160 from aheb) always, (tamid #8548).
20. And why,( mah #4100) my son/child, (ben #1121) be enraptured, (shagah #7686) by a stranger, (zoor #2114) and embrace, (chabaq #2263) the arms, (cheq #2436) of a foreigner, (nokri)?
21. For, (Ki #3588) the ways, (derek #1870) of man, (ish #376) are before, (nokach #5227) the eyes, (ahyin #5868) of YHVH (3069), and He,  makes level/weighs, (palas #6424) all, (kol #3605) his courses, (magal #4570).
22.  His iniquities, (avon #5771) entangle/entrap, (lakad #3920) him, and those who do bad/wicked, (rasha #7563) will attain, (tamak #8551) the allotment/, (chebel #2256) of his sins, (chatah #2403).
23. He will die, (muth #4191) without Instruction, (Musar #4148)), and in the abundance, (rob #7230 from rabab) of his foolishness, (ivelith #200) he will be enraptured/stray, (shagah #7686).
