Proverbs Chapter 9

1. Wisdom, (Chokmah #2451 from chakam) has built, (banah #1129) her house, (bayith #1004); she has hewn, (chatsab #2672) up its seven, (sheba #7651) pillars, (ammud #5982).
2. She has slaughtered, (tabach #2873) her meat and mixed, (masak #4537) her wine, (yayin #3196); she has also, (aph #637) set/arrayed, (arak #6186a) her table, (shulchan #7979).
3. She has sent, (shalach #7971) out her maidens, (naarah #5291), she calls, (qara #7121) alone, (gaph #1610) upon the high places, (marom #4791) of the city, (qereth #7176),
4. “Who, (mi #4310) is naive, (pethi #6612a from pathah) turn in/depart, (sur #5493) here, (hennah #2008)” To the one who lacks, (chaser #j2638) heart, (leb #3820) she says, (amar #559)
5. “Come, (halak #1980) eat, (lacham #3898b) my bread/food, (lechem #3899) and drink, (shathah #8354) the wine, (yayin #3196) I have mixed, (masak #4537).
6. Leave/forsake, (azab #5800a) the naive/foolishness, (pethi #6612a) and have Life, (chayah #2421a); and happily proceed, (ashar #833) in the Way, (derek #1870) of Understanding/insight (Binah #998 from Bin)”
7. He who Corrects, (Yasar #3256) a mocker/scoffer, (lits #3917b) gets, (laqach #3947) dishonor, (qalon #7036 qalah); he who reproves, (yakack #3198) the wicked/those who do bad, (rasha #7563) injury, (mum #4140b).
8. Do not reprove, (yakack #3198) mockers or they will hate/turn against you;, (sane #8130); rebuke the Wise, (Chakam #2450) and they will love you, (Aheb #157).
9. Give, (Nathan #5414) to the Wise, (Chakam #2450) and they will be Wiser, (Chakam #2450) still, (od #5750); Knowledge, (Yada #3045) adds, (yasaph #3254) to the learning, (leqack #3948) of the Righteous, (Tzadiyq #6662 ).
10. Awesome/Fear, (Yirah #3374) of YHVH is the beginning, (techillah #8462) of Wisdom, (Chokmah #2451 from Chakam) and Knowledge, (Daath #1847) of the Holy/Consecrated/Sacred, (Qadosh #6918 from Qodesh) is Understanding, (Binah #998 from Bin).
11. For by Me your days, (yom #3117) multiply, (rabah #7235a) and years, (shanah #8141) are added, (yasaph #3254).
12. If you are Wise, (Chakam #2449) your Wisdom will reward you; if you are a scoffer, (litz #3917) you alone, (bad #905 from badad) will bare it, (nasa #5375).
13. The woman of folly, (kesiluth #3687 from kasal) is boisterous/loud, (hama #1993); she is naive/simple/silly/seducible, (pethiyyuth #6615 from pathah) and knows nothing.
14. She sits at the door of her house, on a seat at the highest point of the city,
15. calling, (qara #7121) out to those who pass on the straight, (yashar #3474) path, (orach #734)
16. “Who is simple/naive, (pethi #6612a) turn in here!” To him who lacks heart she says,
17. “Stolen water is sweet; bread eaten in secret, (sether #5643a) is delicious!”
18. But he does not know that the dead are there, summoned, (qara #7121) to the depths, (omeq #6011) of Sheol, (the grave #7585).
