Traditions or Commandments, What does the Bible Say about Passover?

1. It’s Our Creator’s Passover (it’s not a religion).  By The Blood of The Lamb Death Passed Over The Firstborns of Israel:  Exodus 12:11, 14; 23:14; Leviticus 23:5; Numbers 28:16; Kings 23:21; 2 Chronicles 35; Hebrews 11:28.
2. It’s to Be Remembered Forever, (Olam):  Exodus 12:14, 17, 24, 25; 13:10; Leviticus 23:5; Numbers 9:2; 1 Corinthians 11:23; Luke 2:41; 22:1-23; Mark 14; John 2:13, 23; 5:1, 11; 6:4; 11:55; 12:1; 18:39; Acts 12:3, 4.

3. It Begins The 14th Day of the 1st Month:  Exodus 12:6; Leviticus 23:5; Numbers 28:16; Joshua 5:10; Matthew 26:2; Mark 14:12, John 11:45.

4. The 1st and 7th days are (Qodesh) Set-apart, for Proclaiming (Miqra from Qara).   Do no occupational work:  Exodus 12:16; Numbers 28:18, 25.

5. Eat Unleavened Bread for 7 Days.  Remove All Yeast:  Exodus 12:15, 19; 13:3, 6, 7; 34:18; Leviticus 23:6; Numbers 9; Deuteronomy 16; 2, 3 Chronicles 30:21; Ezra 6:22; Ezekiel 45:21; 1 Corinthians 5:6.  

6. Eat it With Bitter Herbs:  Exodus 12:8; Numbers 9:11; Matthew 26:23.

7. Remember it as, “the Day I Brought You Out…” “Delivered…” “Redeemed…” and “Brought You to Myself:”  Exodus 6:6, 26: 12:17, 51; 13:3, 9, 14; 20:2; Leviticus 25:38; Deuteronomy 7:8; 16:3; Psalm 105:43, 136:11; Jeremiah 32:21.
8. When Our Children Ask the Question:  Exodus 12:26; 13:14; Deuteronomy 32:7, Tell Them The Answer:  Exodus 12:27; 10:2; 13:8, 14; Psalm 44:1; 78:4, 6.

9. Just as Priests Wash their Hands and Feet, Jesus Instructed us to Serve Humbly by Washing one another’s Feet:  Genesis 18:4; 19:2; 43:2424:32Exodus 19:6, 30:19; 40:31; John 13:513:14, 15; 1 Peter 2:5, 9; Revelation 1:6; 5:10.

10.  Where the Good News is Proclaimed in all the world, Mary anointing Jesus for burial will also be told in memory of her:  Matthew 26:12, 13; Mark 14:9; Luke 7:44John 11:2; 12:3 12:7.

Passover Is a Covenant Reminder of Mankind’s Spiritual Deliverance and Redemption From Sin and Death.  Do Not Partake of it in an Unworthy Manner: Exodus 12:43 1 Corinthians 11:27.
